Drink Poison
You wouldn’t drink poison if you were thirsty. So, do not let loneliness trigger you to reconnect with toxic thoughts or people; eliminate what no longer serves you —- unknown DA
Demons, low thoughts in your mind & toxic people are always lurking. Pay attention to those who celebrate your wins vs. those who stay quiet. Those who always choose to focus on your negatives vs. people who support the overall bigger picture that you’re trying to paint. If they no longer positively serve your forward journey, separate from them. Realign with those who are supportive.
Whilst overall you’re strong, “toxicity” patiently waits until you’re weary and tired, in order to pounce on you. But don’t succumb when you’re at that “weak moment” for the comfort of their “familiarity” when you know for fact they’ve hurt or played you in the past.
Our insecurities will always haunt us. This means you have to fight to keep your guard up against them. Learn to silence them when they show up. Life, and the people in it, are just one big mind game. So train your mind to never become complacent. Stay woke and keep especially informed of the shitstorm going on around you in times of turmoil and conflict.
Remember though, for your own sake, always forgive them, just don’t allow their behaviour to drain your emotional energy or consume your conscious thoughts again. Ever.
