I’ll tell you what freedom is to me: no fear — #ninasimone
I recently paid good money to jump out of a perfectly functioning plane from 13,000 feet in the sky. Some might call this reckless, a reaction I sense that is rooted in fear. But for me, the cost of skydiving over Dubai @skydubai was a small price to pay for an experience that was nothing short of extraordinary—an electrifying rush of adrenaline and an unparalleled sense of freedom that comes only from surrendering to the moment and releasing all fear.
As I leapt from the plane, free-falling over the iconic Palm Jumeirah, there was a fleeting instant where time seemed to pause. The roar of the wind pressed against my face (look for some mouth gawping contortions in the vid), the endless expanse of sky stretched around me, and the breathtaking view below was so surreal it felt like both everything and nothing all at once. In that moment, there was no past, no future—just the pure existence of “now”. It wasn’t just a jump; it was a reminder of what it means “to be”—to truly experience being alive.
And that’s something we all need to feel more of. But it only happens when we stop letting fear dictate our lives and start trusting the unknown.
