Health Is Wealth
“HEALTH is WEALTH” — proverb
EDUCATING ME on FITNESS & NUTRITION in LOCKDOWN ⏮▪️WORKOUTS: @raiseldn ▪️NUTRITION: @freshfitnessfood @theturmericco
I am learning that the HEALTH of a person [incl. the mind] is MORE important than the wealth [money] one needs to live a peaceful & happy life.
To be clear, we obviously need “money” to live, but it doesn’t have “value” unless it is enjoyed. Therefore, given that it is good health that enables us to live life & appreciate the money we earn, our ability to enjoy any “wealth” MUST be correlated with the state of our “health”. Hence, there is a strong view that unless a person is healthy, it’s difficult for one to enjoy life.
However, societal constructs lead us to fixate on ways to generate money to live the life we’re “taught to want”. As such, we become obsessed with building careers, investments & growing businesses in order to future proof our financial wellbeing, for which there is nothing wrong. However, we don’t always apply that same effort when it comes to our health. This means we understand money better than we understand our bodies & what fats, proteins & carbohydrates we put in our diet b/c we’ve paid more attention to educating ourselves on making cash.
But, misguidance about the facts pertaining to food & fitness is rife, depending on who’s talking the next calorie counting fad. The volume of information that’s out there is HUGE, making it confusing to know what’s best for our individual needs. Hence, “handling that information” is key & success in one’s nutrition/fitness comes from sorting through that info to segregate the facts amidst the fads to educate ourselves on what’s real. Then one must build a plan of action based on that to suit YOU as opposed to signing up to a “blanket plan” that doesn’t fit.
Critically, it’s important to think about how something is designed & asking if it will best serve to help build a healthy workable lifestyle for YOU. Hence, if you aim with just SMALL nutritional/fitness CHANGES that you incorporate into your daily routine & consistently stick with it, you’ll find that in time your “health” will become very much “wealthier”.Check out the aforementioned guru’s!
