Nothing Beats Kindness
Nothing beats kindness. It sits quietly beyond all things —— Charlie Mackesy
A kind thought for those who are alone, having tough time or missing loved ones, esp. if what’s missing is the joy of children. The separation from a child has its own particular torment. This can leave a hollowness that persists within the soul & torturous to the mind: anxiety & fear coupled with uncertainty can become an unbearable pain that is indescribable. Depression, anger, guilt, despair & loneliness, due to the longing for reconnection can build….
There’s no “quick fix” to this. However, if we gather experience from these challenges we can learn to navigate this “minefield of pain”, exercise our power & shift -IVE thinking patterns to take back control of our thoughts & emotions.
How? By understanding that “one of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things”. We have complete POWER over our thoughts & how we react – it’s the only thing that we actually have control over. Hence, if we practice control over how we respond, however desperate we may feel, instead of allowing our thoughts to hold us captive & spiral into destructive behaviour, we can expunge ourselves from toxic thinking patterns.
Hence, this “freedom” comes when we refuse to be victims to our thoughts & realize we are equipped with the power to fight & win the “trickery of our minds”. Furthermore, if we need it, there’s help all around, & asking for it “isn’t giving up”, it’s an indication that we’re “REFUSING to give up” #strongmove
So, if we get “out of our heads”, act “kindly to ourselves & others” by taking control of our thoughts we can BEAT unkind notions & people who may be determined to make us feel helpless, overwhelmed & incapable of making a difference. It’s all about the mindset we apply, that can transform our emotions, outlook & eventually our circumstances.
It starts in our head & submitting our minds to being kind. When we do this, we can change our lives in remarkable ways & from there, the possibilities are endless.
