Train Yourself
Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose — Yoda @starwars
Your mental health is a priority, more important than ANY relationship, friendship or job. This means your inner peace is essential & self-care is imperative.
Ironically, cutting toxic, controlling people & situations loose [i.e. negative things] can be tough because your insecurities want you to hold on to an “idealised” version of how you wished things to be = one can get “lost” in the “fear of losing familiarity” & it’s darkness.
However, the FACT is, that “idealised” version of how you want relationships/situations to be isn’t reality. The “difference” between the two is where toxicity develops. The only “cure” for this is to have the strength to CUT THEM LOOSE, wish them well & move on.
At first this can be heartbreaking but you’ll see, day-by-day, step-by-step that this move “makes space” in your life to allow you to become stronger in yourself WITHOUT requiring the need to be “attached” to controlling people or situations.
Once you’ve made that space, delving into depths of the very insecurities that made you “attach” yourself to those toxic people and situations is important to examine because if you refuse to explore the weaker/darker aspects of yourself you’ll never be able to optimise the lighter/positive side = work in progress everyday….
Questioning the core of what makes you “insecure & uncomfortable” will be the only TRUE way for you to genuinely become “comfortable” in addressing your fears to CUT.THEM.LOOSE. So, savage up and “train yourself to let go of everything you fear,” in turn you’ll then find space to attract positive, more constructive people and situations into your world….
