Training Gives
Training gives us an outlet for suppressed energies created by stress & thus tones the spirit just as exercise conditions the body – @schwarzenegger
A moment of bare honesty here [that admittedly embarrasses me]: I’ve struggled with yoyo-ing weight gain, volatile emotions & the fear of not fitting in my entire life. As you swipe left, you can see that there’s a pretty “big” difference between my “before” [85kgs, 26% body fat, 35inch waist] & “now” [64.5kgs, 11% body fat, 28inch waist]. Additionally, what you don’t see is the [work in progress] transformation of my mindset. Previously, I allowed life’s trauma’s to lead me [a non-sporty person] to seek “comfort” in binge eating on fatty fast food & milk chocolate = a disastrous combo for both my physical & mental wellbeing.

However, making the decision to give discipline to my training has helped me to release suppressed energies created by stress – a daily battle to fend – but certainly applying “discipline” is effective.

There is no “one size fits all” plan for transforming one’s workout, diet or mindset – we must find what best suits & aligns our individual self. However, I have been taught 3 attributes, by some of the best in the game, that are universally applicable whatever your goals:

Also in my transformation process, the following have helped:
▪️Setting intention: to initiate change, we must first decide what we want.
▪️Being open & receptive to receive guidance.
▪️Believe: living in the moment, but envisioning what we wish to create & trust that it will happen.
▪️Embracing the unknown: confronting our monsters, attachments & fantasies in order to create new processes.
▪️Riding the wave: As we witness our struggle, answers come. When we lose trust & hope, remember our commitment to change & vision, in order to reignite that trust & hope.

If we practice these PROCESSES to turn a NEW THOUGHT into ACTION, we form a new HABIT that will BUILD CHARACTER to create a NEW DESTINY, standing on new ground in a new reality.
