What Left You Wasn’t Meant to Grow With You
Addition by subtraction — @brian_pruett 🔊
If 2025, the year of the snake 🐍, wasn’t your glow-up year…
it was your year of shedding what can’t come with you into 2026.
If life stripped everything away in 2025,
this is why….
Before every major breakthrough, life creates resistance.
Not to punish you, but to prepare you.
Preparation often feels like rejection at first.
I shed ex’s & “family”.
I shed people I thought were friends.
I shed old industries and environments I’d outgrown.
And it hit me hard.
The moment you ask for change, the universe rearranges your life.
Doors close.
People disappear.
Comfort evaporates.
Not because you’re failing,
but because you’re outgrowing the room you once “prayed” in.
For me, 2024 & 2025 were dissolution.
2025 was the Year of the Snake 🐍 and I met it head-on, suffocating at times.
Growth doesn’t always look like expansion.
Sometimes it looks like loss.
Sometimes it looks like shedding.
It’s making room. In that new space, you get to add.
That’s how new form arrives.
Snakes don’t shed for beauty.
They shed because staying the same would suffocate them.
Maybe you did too —
quietly, uncomfortably.
Understand that, real transformation happens underground.
Faith isn’t believing it will work.
Faith is becoming the person it works for.
You can’t enter the next chapter
with the habits of the last one.
Loss isn’t punishment.
It’s preparation.
2026 is rebirth.
You are not behind.
You are right on time.
If this resonated,
you’re in the middle of becoming. Keep going.
