Whatever happened
Whatever happened to you in the past has no power over this present moment. Neither does worrying about the future. That is because life is ONLY in the “here and now”, in this very moment. So, be present “now” and let everything else go —- unknown DA
A game-changing must-read is, “The Power of Now” by @eckharttolle . It is a transformative “guide” that offers profound insights, enlightening you to what’s key in order to “just be”. Tolle‘s core message is that people’s emotional problems are rooted in “identifying” themselves with their mind. He explains that we should separate the thoughts & emotions that affect our “mind” from ourselves. That way, we can take control of those thoughts, instead of those thoughts controlling us. Something I have increasingly practiced & written about even prior reading his book & can confirm to be a powerful strategy that is achievable for anyone immediately.
Additionally, he outlines that we should be aware of our “present moment” instead of losing ourselves in any anxiety about the past or worrying about the future: two dimensions that are pointless wasting energy over. How to do this? When you find yourself lost in the anxiety of your thoughts, bring yourself back to the current moment you’re in. This will help dissipate those negative feelings & make you shift to re-focus on “the present moment now”.
There’s a lot to learn about human nature, the mind & how the conditioning of our mind regulates us indirectly, topics that Tolle explains in his book, making it a pivotal read for anyone, at any juncture in their life. The earlier you put his strategies into practice, the more immediately your life will become better. His perspective offers a completely different take on what’s important to focus on in life, namely “the present moment”. So, “LET GO” of everything & purchase his book “NOW”!
