You Must Truly Believe
You must truly believe that you deserve it all: to be happy, loved, healthy & fit. This means working on your “best self” each day — unknown DA
SWIPE ⏪: you’ll see pictures of me c.20kgs [44lbs] heavier than what I am today; then: 85kgs, 26% body fat, c.35inch waist. The “bigger” issue however, wasn’t my weight but my mindset. I was in a “comfort zone”, unwilling to give up the “easy path” of fast food, alcohol & virtually zero workouts in my weekly routine. I’d filled voids in my life with unhealthy habits & short term fixes, all of which pushed me further from where I was “depressed about” NOT being i.e. 20kgs lighter!
However, when you hit rock bottom about how you feel about yourself [I was desperately unhappy & disgusted how I’d let myself fall] there was nothing else to do but “move” up & away from that low point: I was confronted with either “making the decision” to work on becoming a “better version” of myself or stay down. So, I started to work on my OWN journey, according to what aligns with me, to rebuild some basic self respect; now: 64.8kgs, 11.4% body fat, 28inch waist.
By no means was giving up the “nocturnal habits” or “extreme comforts” & “energy highs” of chocolate & fatty foods easy – I slipped many times – but b/c I had made the decision, at that low point, to make my “mind & body” the best version of whatever “I AM”, I learned to flip those bad days into good ones, to change my routine to include working out regardless of the time I finished the “day job”, cut the sugar, change my diet, remove the beer & UP my cardio. These newly formed habits are now a matter of course, fluid in “what I do” as part of my daily routine & the journey continues…
We have to believe that we can “SCULPT” the best version of ourselves “OUT OF” where we are today – no matter what that looks like, or whatever the circumstance – your thoughts in this belief WILL CHANGE YOU if you follow through with action. Each day we can chip away at all those raw edges & step-by-step unravel whats underneath i.e. the person that we “actually” want to be. So, imagine the “best version of yourself” & GO CREATE!
