From the terrifying injustice of a Nazi dictatorship obsessed with the persecution of people because of their ethnicity that led to genocide, to a haunting memorial for the 6m Jewish people murdered in the Holocaust, in a city that has “risen like a phoenix” from “death strip” wasteland areas over the three decades post the collapse in 1989 of “The Wall” that marked the end of the Cold War, Berlin has a morbidly fascinating history. A “Topography of Terror” is documented, strewn across the city: STARK & HORRIFIC reminders to us that people who invoke acts of terror, cults of violence, extreme nationalism & scientific racism, in the pursuit to exclude those whom they deem either “community aliens” or “inferior” is an UNACCEPTABLE “human condition”.

History evidences that the horror of atrocities & violence committed by any extremist or terrorist organisation is inexcusable. Of course, we all “say” that it’s unacceptable to kill innocent children, women & elders, yet today in 2023, the “human race” is still at WAR with each other, demonstrating that we do not do, as we say. The “gap” between what we say & what we do is a problem that HUMANKIND needs to address, or else we just won’t evolve. We have NOT learnt from our past crimes against humanity, against each other! Hence, we run the risk of repeating some terrible scenes. No form of hate, injustice or prejudice against marginalised communities by terrorists will ever justify the other, as civilians on both sides fall victim. And, by definition, any terrorist act or murder, CANNOT stand for the protection of innocent people….

I don’t support racism of any kind. I support any people who are oppressed to be free. I support treating humans like humans, not animals. NEVER AGAIN IS NOW but tragically there are extremists way more powerful than the civilian masses, that fervently disagree, which means wars will continue, until the human race learns that wars solve nothing & that another way needs to be applied on how to co-exist, or else we’ll just stay not-evolving in the same atrocious loop….
